Patriots re-sign OL Ian Silberman to the practice squad

The Patriots announced today that they have re-signed OL Ian Silberman to the practice squad.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots announced today that they have re-signed OL Ian Silberman to the practice squad. 

Silberman, 23, originally entered the NFL as a sixth-round draft pick (190th overall) by the San Francisco 49ers out of Boston College in 2015. The 6-foot-5, 306-pounder, played in one game as a rookie last season, seeing action vs. Minnesota on Sept. 14 on special teams. He was released by the 49ers on Aug. 28, 2016, and signed to the New England practice squad on Sept. 15, 2016. He was released from the practice squad on Sept. 28, 2016. Silberman began his college career at Florida. After graduating, he used his final season of eligibility at Boston College where he started all 12 games at guard.
