Growing up in a very small coastal town in Rhode Island was an amazing privilege. It provided me with a childhood I'll never forget, but I always knew when given the chance, I would live somewhere new, and I had my sights set on New York City. Ever since I was a little girl I knew that someday I would live in NYC and at the age of 18 I made it happen.

During my junior year of high school I had the opportunity to audition early for my dream school in New York. I received early acceptance to The American Musical and Dramatic Academy and had a spot held for me until I graduated high school. Once I finished high school, I packed my bags and headed into NYC with my mom, where she dropped me off and moved me into a tiny apartment in the Upper West side. From that day on, I never looked back and ended up spending over 5 wonderful years in New York.

My time in college revolved all around dance. Because AMDA is an arts school, all of my classes were dance related. I would spend up to 6 hours a day 5 days a week in the studio receiving state of the art training from renowned professors. This taught me discipline, diligence and prepped me for my dream of becoming a New England Patriots Cheerleader.

After college I knew I wanted to stay in New York. I had fallen in love with the city and the life I started to create there. At this time, however, the COVID-19 pandemic was in full swing and starting a career in dance was increasingly difficult. It was then I decided to dive into the fitness industry and become a full time personal trainer and group fitness instructor, which I still do to this day! If it wasn't for me having to redirect my passion in NYC, I wouldn't have found myself working in fitness and discovering a field of work that I am just as passionate about as I am dance.

I wouldn't trade my time living in New York for anything. Being there by myself with no family close by was at times scary and challenging, especially being so young, but it shaped me into the person I am today. The city taught me maturity and independence, what it really means to be hard working, and most importantly to follow my dreams. I am forever thankful I had the privilege of calling New York home for almost 6 years and will always miss the energy of the city, but being born and raised a New Englander I am happy to be home!
