Supply gives value to demand in trades early

With the flurry of trades atop the NFL draft, one interesting aspect is that the value to move up seems to be coming in under what the usual trade value chart calls for.

This is in line with the idea that a lot of teams near the top wanted to trade down. It's a case of supply being greater than the demand and lowering the price. I don't think it has to do with the new CBA or rookie wage scale or anything.

Of course the Redskins paid through the nose to go up and get RG3 at No. 2 in a deal that came long before the draft.
