Patriots Marathon Team Finishes Strong
More than twenty runners represented the Patriots Foundation at the 2018 Boston Marathon on April 16. Despite the inclement weather, every member of the team crossed the finish line on Boylston Street. Together, this year’s team raised more than $223,000 in support of the Patriots Foundation.
Patriots host Play 60 event in Montreal
Current and former Patriots players, cheerleaders and mascot, Pat Patriot, made a special visit to Montreal on July 12 to share the Play 60 message. They teamed with NFL Canada to facilitate exercise stations for 300 children.
Malcolm Mitchell promotes the importance of reading
The Patriots wide receiver took part in the TADpole 10 Summer Series on Boston Common to share his passion for reading. He spoke to hundreds of children, read to them and provided each child with a copy of his book, "The Magician's Hat."
Patriots Women’s Association visits Boston Children's Hospital
On Thursday, Jan. 7, the Patriots Women’s Association visited Boston Children's Hosptial and helped create an art project in the Activity Center, which was brought back to Gillette Stadium for the team as they prepare for the playoffs.
Patriots give gifts from the gridiron
Many Patriots players, including Devin McCourty, Jerod Mayo, Dont'a Hightower and Jimmy Garoppolo, partnered with 50 children in need for a holiday shopping spree at Bass Pro Shop on Tuesday evening. The Patriots cheerleaders and alumni club also helped the children pick out gifts for themselves and loved ones.
Patriots Host 22nd Annual Children’s Holiday Party
Led by Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft, Devin McCourty, Brandon LaFell, Marcus Cannon and other Patriot players, the New England Patriots hosted their 22nd annual Children’s Holiday Party on Tuesday night at Gillette Stadium. Approximately 250 children in need were treated to a night of food, games, presents and a surprise visit from Santa Claus.
Chung and friends sing for charity
Patriots DB Patrick Chung hosted his second annual karaoke charity event on Monday night at Splitsville/Howl-at-the-Moon at Patriot Place. Devin McCourty, Scott Chandler, Brandon LaFell and other Patriots players sang during the event, which helped raise money for Chung's charity, Chung Changing Lives, as well as the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley.
Devin McCourty: A Champion For Children
Patriots safety Devin McCourty was honored as the Boston Children's Hospital 2015 Champion Award recipient at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston on Tuesday night. The award recognizes athletes from Boston's professional sports teams who enrich the lives of children. McCourty is a frequent visitor to the hospital.
Rob Ninkovich Plays 60 at Hockomock Area YMCA
Patriots DE Rob Ninkovich met with several elementary school students at the Hockomock Area YMCA in Foxborough during a Play 60 event on Tuesday and discussed the importance of healthy eating and exercising 60 minutes a day. Rob surprised 12 children with tickets to attend the Dec. 6th Play 60 game and participate in the pregame field experience.
Patriots provide Goodwill gesture
Patriots Chairman and CEO Robert Kraft, Patriots players Chandler Jones, Devin McCourty, Stephen Gostkowski, Brandon LaFell and many others handed out Thanksgiving meals in a basket – filled with turkeys and Thanksgiving fixings – to 220 families in need at Boston's Goodwill headquarters in Roxbury on Wednesday night.
Patriots Make Wishes Come True
On Saturday, Nov. 7, the Patriots partnered with Make-A-Wish Foundation to make the dreams of 11 children come true. The kids met Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Jimmy Garoppolo, and got to play football with them and other Patriots players.
Patriots Players Visit UP Academy Holland in Dorchester
Patriots players served as the special guests in a school-wide assembly where they spoke about the importance of a healthy diet and exercising for at least 60 minutes a day. The players also unveiled a donation of a new NFL Flag Football kit and led students in a scrimmage. This was one of 150 kits donated to schools across Massachusetts.
Amvet Elementary School raises money for Andruzzi Foundation
After raising money for the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, students at the Amvet Boulevard Elementary School in North Attleboro got to meet Patriot great and three-time Super Bowl champion Joe Andruzzi. During a school-wide assembly on Friday morning, Joe and the students spoke about the importance of supporting the fight against cancer.
