Thayer Munford Jr. was signed by the New England Patriots to the 53-man roster from the Cleveland practice squad on November 25, 2025 ... Originally drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders in the seventh round (238th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft ... Released by Las Vegas (8/27/25) ... Signed by New England to the practice squad (8/29/25) ... Signed by Cleveland to the 53-man roster from the New England practice squad (9/24/25) ... Released by Cleveland (10/13/25) ... 2025 (6/2, 3/0)

  • Signed to the New England 53-man roster from the Cleveland practice squad on Nov. 25.
  • Made his Patriots debut vs. the N.Y. Giants (12/1) and saw his first action on field goals and extra points. Also contributed as a tackle-eligible tight end.
  • Took two snaps at left tackle in the third quarter vs. Buffalo (12/14) when T Vederian Lowe reported as tackle-eligible. His other eight snaps came as a tackle-eligible tight end, with the snaps he came in producing 122 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns.
  • Saw action at tackle-eligible tight end and entered the game at Baltimore (12/21) at right tackle when T Morgan Moses left the game with a knee injury in the first quarter. Moses returned to action late in the second quarter. Munford himself also then left with an injury in the second quarter, but returned in the third quarter.
  • Made his first start with New England at the N.Y. Jets (12/28) as tackle-eligible tight end.
