The Patriots acquired Andre' Davis from the Cleveland Browns in a trade on Aug. 22. The 6-foot-1-inch, 195-pound wide receiver was originally drafted by Cleveland in the second round (47th overall) of the 2002 NFL Draft. The upstate New York native was a three-year starter at Virginia Tech and his 18 career touchdown catches ranked second on the school's all-time list when he graduated. The three-time Academic All-Big East conference selection also excelled on the Hokies' track team, competing in the 200-meter dash and serving as the anchor on the 4x100-meter relay squad. Davis started four games at wide receiver and recorded nine receptions for 190 yards and a touchdown during the regular season.

Davis sat down with us to answer some questions about his life both on and off the football field.

FAVORITES

What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Cookie Dough. I don't have a favorite brand that I eat. Everywhere I go I will try it out and compare.

Where is your favorite place to take a vacation? Definitely somewhere warm. I would have to say Jamaica.

What was your favorite video game growing up? The original Super Mario Brothers. I used to spend hours playing that game. I didn't have all the codes and secrets at the beginning. I played it the old-fashioned way.

Who is your favorite comedian? Bernie Mac.

What is your favorite television show? The Cosby Show. I don't think that show will ever be beat. It's real-life, clean fun comedy.

OFF THE FIELD

What is one thing that you have never been able to do? For the most part if there is something I want to do, I'll make that a goal and each year try to cross them off the list.

What is the best thing about attending Virginia Tech? The national championshipgame season. To be able to go through the regular season undefeated is something that will always stay with me.

Who is the best-dressed player on this team? Richard Seymour. He puts it all together. He always has some sort of glasses that he puts on to complete the outfit.

What was the worst job you ever had? I don't think I've had a bad job. There have been some tough jobs, but I think I have learned from those situations. One that sticks out is being a cart collector at a supermarket in the middle of summer. I had to wear the long sleeve white shirt and the black pants. Those were some long hours.

What is something that annoys you? People who aren't honest. It is hard to trust someone who is not honest.

If I turned on the CD player in your car right now, what would I hear? A Christian rap artist named Flame.

Have you read any good books lately? The last book I read was the last book in the "Left Behind" series by Jerry Jenkins and Tim LaHaye. There are nine books in the series.

What do you like to do in your free time? I don't have any hobbies. I like to relax. I'm not a big video game guy, but lately I have been playing the new Need For Speed: Most Wanted.

ON THE FIELD

Who was the best collegiate defender you lined up against at Virginia Tech? Phillip Buchanon who played for the University of Miami (Fla.) and now plays for the Houston Texans.

Do you have a most memorable reception? Definitely my 99-yard touchdown reception with the Cleveland Browns. Everything happened so quickly that I didn't realize it was 99 yards.

This is your first year with the Patriots. What makes this organization so successful? Everyone holds each other accountable for what you do on the field. When you see everyone else out there doing their job and performing at a high level, I think it brings you up to that level.

What is the toughest stadium in the NFL to play in? I wouldn't say there is one particular place. Any time you go on the road it is always a "you against the world" attitude. The louder it gets, the more excited I get.

THIS OR THAT

Go to the movie theater or watch the DVD? That is a tough one. Movie theater, especially if it is a new movie.

Cook a meal or call for delivery? Call for delivery.

College Football BCS or playoff format? I can make arguments for both sides. I will say BCS because I was a part of it and we were able take care of our business and everything worked out in the end when we played for the national championship.

Sports car or SUV? Sports car. I don't have one yet, but I'm working on it.

Scuba diving or skydiving? Scuba diving.

Halle Berry or Jessica Simpson? My wife, of course. I would say Halle Berry though.

JUST FOR FUN

If you could have one special power, what would it be? I would want to be able to fly.

Which one of your teammates would last the longest on the reality show Survivor? Tedy Bruschi. He truly is a survivor. You can see his dedication every time he steps out on the practice field and game field. He is going to fight to the end no matter what the circumstance.

If you could be any celebrity for a day, who would you be? I don't think I would want to be any of them to tell you the truth. They have enough trouble of their own and I have enough as it is now.

If they made a movie about your life, who would be the ideal actor to play your part? Jamie Foxx.
