New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick addresses the media during his postgame press conference at Giants Stadium on December 29, 2007.

BB: That was some way to finish the season today. It is really exciting to be a part of this football team and what these guys did today, all the credit goes to the players. They stepped up and made a lot of outstanding plays at critical times in the game, especially there in the second half and in the fourth quarter. They came through like they have all year. It's a great feeling and now is the time to take a day or two and appreciate what this team has done, but at the same time we have our biggest game of the year coming up and we are going to have to be ready for that. I don't know who it's going to be against but that team will be a good football team no matter who it is. In the meantime we are going to take a little bit of time and enjoy this one and feel good about what we have accomplished. Pretty soon we are going to have to turn the page and move on, but I am happy for the players to win and I know we have set a lot of individual records and so fourth and so on, so without getting into all of that individually I would like to thank all those players for their individual accomplishments and for their collective accomplishments. The Giants are a good football team, they are headed to the playoffs like they should be and I'm sure they'll do a good job, they have a good football team, they are well coached and they certainly gave us all we can handle tonight.

Q: What is your reaction to being 16-0

BB:I'm happy. You work all year to try and win every game and to win them all is great and I'm very happy about it.

Q: The sequence of plays where Randy Moss caught the Touchdown pass.

BB: We had a play action pass and Randy was out their past the safety and the ball was underthrown and he couldn't quite handle it and then the next play they went to a trap type of defense where the corner came up and the safety went over the top and Randy outran him and Tom put it out there, it was a great throw.

Q: About the game in general.

BB: I don't think that was our best football game out there today.I think there are a lot of things that we can do better. Start with me, I think that we can do a better job all across the board. The Giants are a good football team, don't get me wrong, but there are things that we can do a better job of and hopefully the next time we play we will have those things improved.

Q: About your relationship with the New York Giants.

BB: Giant Stadium has always been a special place for me. I spent 12 years here and they were 12 great years. We had some great seasons, some championship seasons and some of the units that I was involved in, special teams and defense, I think were very productive and it was a thrill to be a part of some of those units as well. It's always special to come back here and the fact that what happened today was here, I don't have any complaints about it, let's put it that way.

Q: About the team being behind in the game.

BB: We have been behind before and these guys as a football team have made plays when we needed to make them. Whether its recovering an on-side kick, whether it's a punt return in the Indianapolis game, whether it's a stop on defense or a score on offense, everybody has come though one time or another for us this season and that was true today. It certainly wasn't perfect, there were a lot of things that were not that good, the Giants made a lot of plays on us, but fortunately we made a couple more plays than they did, and again all the credit goes to the players. They are the ones that made the plays and they made them under pressure, they made them when there was little margin for error, and when we had to make them, we made them.

Q: Are you guys happy about the win?

BB: I think the players are happy, they should be, they have worked hard. With what they did they should be happy about it, for a little while. We will have to move on. We have another big game coming up and we are going to have to turn the page, but for right now it's a great time to feel good about today and the regular season.
