Patriots.com News Blitz - 1/13/2009

McDaniels is now the man, officially, in Denver. Plus, who else on the Pats coaching staff might be next out the door? Speculation abounds in today's Blitz.

**Josh McDaniels **has officially become the Denver Broncos new head coach, leaving the Patriots after eight seasons. He spoke for the first time with Denver-area media at his introductory press conference last evening, and he already seems to be winning them over in Colorado.

So, what does this mean for the Pats, and who might be next in the coaching carousel? The Boston Herald, Boston Globe, and New Hampshire's *Union Leader *examine that issue.

At least one football writer is calling for former New England assistants **Romeo Crennel **and **Charlie Weis **to return to the team.

On The Bleacher Report, there's a piece about which free agent the Patriots should pursue first this off-season. It might not be whom you'd think.

Oh, and if you're keeping track of such things, *People *magazine's website claims it has an exclusive source who confirmed that Pats QB Tom Brady is engaged to his belle, model Gisele Bundchen.
