(On being named to the second team of the 2013 AP All-Pro team with cornerback Aqib Talib)
"I think when you've got two guys, not at the same position, but both in the secondary, that speaks volumes to the work that you're putting in as a group. For us two to be named to [the All-Pro team] means we've been playing pretty well. Now it's all about continuing to do it in the postseason."
(On receiving the honor in his first full season playing safety)
"You can't beat that, to be recognized [as a second team All-Pro team selection]. More hard work has to be done for this season and we will try to put that in now."
(On what the team was able to accomplish at practice this week)
"I think the challenge for us was to come out and get better this week. I think we leave the week feeling like we did get better and now we get to relax a little bit, but I think the key right now is the playoffs. For us it's focusing on getting better and getting ready to go next week because once we come back in here next week it's all tilts. It's everyone all hands on deck, and we've got to be ready to go."
(On whether he will be watching the Wild Card games this weekend)
"Yeah, I will be tuned in watching them."

(On being named to the second team of the Associated Press All-Pro team)
"It's an honor, I guess. I really didn't even know about it. Just like that Pro Bowl, man, I'll find a way to celebrate that after we finish our business. Simple as that."
(On how cold it is outside and what it was like practicing outside on Thursday)
"It was freezing. I don't know; it just brings you back being a little kid though, so we had fun. We practiced in it yesterday, we had a lot of fun, and it just takes you back a little bit to recess and stuff like that, so can't complain. It was hard to drive in it this morning. Just left early, gave myself an hour to get here. I live about 10 minutes away, made it on time."
(On if he is a slow driver)
"Oh, real slow. Both lanes, I need both lanes, too. Definitely."
(On if he plans on watching the Wild Card games this weekend)
"Definitely."
(On if there are advantages or disadvantages to watching the games)
"No, I don't think so. We don't have a game, so we're all sports fans, football fans at that. So I'm sure a lot of us will be watching the games."

(On the weather)
"Yeah, it's pretty cold outside. But being inside today, being able to go in there and do some things was good. We got a lot done."
(On what he took away from the bye week)
"Just kind of narrowing down the things that we're trying to do as a team, as a defense, offense, things like that. Trying to get some things corrected that might have hurt us throughout the year and just narrow down us getting better as a football team. The fine little details of things and trying to just continually grow as a unit, as a team, and get better so that we can push forward here come next weekend."
(On if he will watch any of the Wild Card games this weekend)
"Yeah, I don't know what guys will do. I'll be on my couch watching all of the games, so it'll be exciting and come Sunday night I guess we'll know who we're playing."
(On if there are advantages or disadvantages to watching the games)
"I don't think so. It'll just be fun to kind of sit back and know that you've earned this bye, be able to sit there and watch all the games. You try to watch them and kind of understand situations throughout games and see what can maybe help you if that happens to arise in one of our games, but I'll just be watching as a fan and it'll be fun."
