FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The New England Patriots announced today the signing of third-round draft pick DL Geneo Grissom. Terms of the contract were not announced.
Grissom, 22, was selected by the Patriots in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft with the 97th selection overall out of Oklahoma. The 6-foot-4, 252-pounder, played in 39 games with 11 starts and registered 88 tackles, eight sacks, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. Last season, he played in 10 games with seven starts and tallied 39 total tackles and 3 ½ sacks. Grissom was named All-Big 12 Honorable Mention as a senior in 2014.
