BREAKDOWN: Things are slightly more settled here than at cornerback. McCourty is a perennial captain, so, he's not going anywhere (although we thought that about Logan Mankins last year, too), and neither is Chung, who inked a contract extension late last season. Harmon should compete with Chung for a starting job, but will be a contributor at the very least. Richards, as a second-round draft choice, has to make the club. Former draft picks Ebner and Wilson could still find a way to hang on as special teamers, but their jobs statuses are tenuous at best. King, a rookie free agent, faces an uphill battle to make the team.Â
