What They're Saying: Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano and several Colts players discussed their upcoming playoff game against the Patriots. Here are the highlights of what they had to say.

On the game...**
"The margin for error is very small, even (more so) being on the road, playing the team we're playing, the elements, the crowd noise. We're chasing perfection, (trying) to play the best game we can possibly play."

"They do a great job in all three phases. Extremely well coached as everybody knows; they're very disciplined, they're a team that's not going to beat itself, and so it's a huge undertaking and a huge challenge for us."
- Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano

On Tom Brady...
"He has definitely set the standard for success at the quarterback position. The way he handles himself, watching from afar, the competitive nature and basically all the right things he does. Yeah, I guess he is a barometer and he is the standard. "
- Colts Quarterback Andrew Luck

On the Patriots Running Backs...
"They have a stable of backs. We have to do a great job of stopping the run. They're hard enough to get off the field on third down, let alone if it's third-and-short."
- Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano

"First and foremost, the biggest thing is always stop the run. They have two good backs in the backfield in (LeGarrette) Blount and (Stevan) Ridley. Those guys run in between the tackles and they run outside the tackle box really well. The challenge is in the trenches, period. We have to out-physical, out-play and out-hustle their offensive line to get to the ball carrier, period. No ifs ands or buts about it. These games now, going towards the Super Bowl, the game is won in the trenches. You have to compete and stop the run and just like last week and just like Week 1 all the way up until now. You don't stop the run, you have no chance of being successful. That's what we got to do."
- Colts Defensive End Cory Redding

On not taking playoffs for granted...
"You're naïve at any stage in your career if you take the playoffs for granted. I think the league average is three, three and a half years in the league. If you look at it that way, even if this is your rookie year, you may only have two or three more years. For myself and the other veterans, we know that there might not be a lot more of these so you have to take every advantage of every situation and run with it."
- Colts Kicker Adam Vinatieri

On the Patriots defense...
"They do a great job of disguising their defenses. Everything seems to look the same, then you blink for a second and it's completely different and you've screwed up. We have to be on our Ps and Q. We're excited about it, excited to face a great team like them."
- Colts Quarterback Andrew Luck
