The Denver Broncos signed safety Sam Brandon to a contract extension. Terms were not disclosed.

DENVER (Feb. 9, 2006) -- The Denver Broncos signed safety Sam Brandon to a contract extension.

Terms were not disclosed.

Brandon, selected by the Broncos in the fourth round of the 2002 NFL draft, split his time on defense and special teams. He appeared in 14 games for Denver last season, with 20 tackles, three pass breakups and one fumble recovery. He also filled in at cornerback.
