TAMPA, Fla. (March 2, 2005) -- Former New York Giants kicker Matt Bryant signed a contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Bryant was with the Giants in 2002-03 and spent time with Indianapolis and Miami in 2004. He has appeared in 31 regular-season games and one playoff game, converting 40 of 50 career field goal attempts.

The Bucs have ranked last in the NFL in field goal accuracy the past two seasons. The team released Martin Gramatica on Nov. 30, replacing him with former Arena Football League kicker Jay Taylor.
