Jags hire assistant D-line coach

The Jacksonville Jaguars have hired Ted Monachino as an assistant defensive line coach.  Monachino replaces Todd Howard, who was named defensive line coach at UCLA following three seasons with the Jags.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Feb. 15, 2006) -- The Jacksonville Jaguars have hired Ted Monachino as an assistant defensive line coach.

Monachino replaces Todd Howard, who was named defensive line coach at UCLA following three seasons with the Jags.

The 39-year-old Monachino spent the past five seasons as the defensive line coach at Arizona State. Before that, he served as an assistant coach at Texas Christian (1996-98), James Madison (1998-99), Southwest Missouri State (1999-2000) and Boise State (2000).
