Vrabel Family Donates to the Woody Hayes Athletic Center Renovation Project

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Former Ohio State student-athletes Mike and Jen Vrabel have made a $75,000 donation to the Woody Hayes Athletic Center Renovation Project, Tom Hof, Ohio State associate athletics director for development, announced Wednesday.

The WHAC is being renovated to upgrade offices, the team locker room, the athletic training facility, the football equipment room, team meeting rooms and an improved lounge area for student-athletes.

"We are excited to make this gift to the University," Mike said. "Ohio State has had a great impact on the lives of my wife and me. The more we talked about it, the more obvious it became the right thing to do."

Mike played football at Ohio State from 1993-96. He was a two-time All-American, three-time All-Big Ten and two-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree. He is currently a member of the New England Patriots football team and has been a member of three Super Bowl championship teams.

In 2004, Mike returned to Ohio State and earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science.

Jen (Boleyn) played volleyball at OSU from 1993-96. She was a two-time AVCA All-District selection as well as two-time All-Big Ten and Academic All-Big Ten honoree. Jen earned a bachelor's degree in dental hygiene in 1998.

The Vrabel's currently reside in Powell with their two sons, Tyler and Carter.
