The Patriots and Texans have met eight times, with New England holding a 7-1 lead in the head-to-head matchup. Here's a look back at all eight meetings between the two franchises.





Jan. 3, 2010. Texans 34, Patriots 27. Arian Foster scored two TDs in the final five minutes to help the Texans rally for their first and only win in the series. Patriots WR Julian Edelman had 10 catches for 103 yards.


Dec. 10, 2012. Patriots 42, Texans 14. Behind four Tom Brady TD passes (including a 63-yard bomb to Donte' Stallworth) and a stout defensive effort, the Patriots jumped out to a 28-0 halftime lead and never looked back on "Monday Night Football."




Jan. 13, 2013. Patriots 41, Texans 28. In the AFC Divisional Round, Wes Welker caught eight passes for 131 yards and Shane Vereen caught two TDs and ran for another, helping the Patriots beat the Texans for the second time in six weeks and advance to the AFC Championship game.



Dec. 1, 2013. Patriots 34, Texans 31. Stephen Gostkowski hit a pair of 53-yard field goals in the fourth quarter, one to tie the game with 7:16 to go, the other to put the Patriots ahead for good with 3:12 left. Rob Gronkowski added six catches for 127 yards and a score.Â



Dec. 13, 2015. Patriots 27, Texans 6. Rob Gronkowski had a one-yard TD catch before the end of the first half, and Jabaal Sheard and Akiem Hicks combined for four of New England's six sacks.



Sept. 22, 2016. Patriots 27, Texans 0. QB Jacoby Brissett had a 27-yard TD run in the first quarter, LeGarrette Blount had two rushing TDs, and the Patriots forced two turnovers on kickoff returns (both of which led to TDs), to pitch a shutout on "Thursday Night Football." It was the Patriots' first shutout in four years, the ninth since Bill Belichick became head coach in 2000, and the 26th in team history.
