Patriots announce roster reductions to meet NFL limit of 53 players

FOXBORO, Mass. - The New England Patriots reduced their roster to 53 players today by releasing 16 players and placing rookie running back Walter Williams on the Reserve List/Injured for the 2001 season. Today's transactions are listed below in alphabetical order.
