The Junior Patriots Cheerleaders made their third co-appearance of 2012 on Sunday, September 9th in Topsfield, Massachusetts. Siobhan and I walked with our Junior Patriots Cheerleaders in the Scleroderma Foundation of New England's eighth annual North Shore Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Walk. We walked for three miles to raise awareness for Scleroderma, a progressive disease that involves the hardening and tightening of the skin. This disease can happen at any time without any warning signs. The Scleroderma Foundation of New England is the regional chapter of the nationwide foundation aimed at educating the public and spreading awareness of the disease while raising funds for medical research.
Our Junior Cheerleaders greeted all of the amazing people who put the walk together, cheered on the participants throughout the three miles and posed for lots of photos! One of our Junior Cheerleaders even traveled all the way from Maryland to support this special cause! The girls got to experience firsthand how the Patriots Cheerleaders get involved with the community and support charitable organizations throughout New England. We enjoyed spending the day with our Junior Cheerleaders while participating in a great event, and we look forward to our next community appearance with our future NEPC!
Cheers!
