Patriots Sign OT Cedrick Lang

The Patriots announced that they have signed OT Cedrick Lang.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots announced that they have signed OT Cedrick Lang. Terms of the contract were not announced. 

Lang, 26, spent the entire 2018 season on the Minnesota injured reserve list. The 6-foot-7, 300-pounder, originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the New York Giants out of Texas-El Paso on May 6, 2016. He was released by the Giants at the end of training camp. Lang was signed by Denver on Jan. 27, 2017. After being released by Denver prior to the start of the regular season, Lang was signed by Minnesota to the practice squad, where he spent the entire 2017 season. Lang began his college career as a basketball player before using his fifth year of eligibility to football as a tight end, where he played in 12 games and caught 11 passes for 72 yards with one touchdown.
