PITTSBURGH (April 5, 2005) -- Tyrone Carter, a safety who mostly played on special teams last season, signed a two-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Carter played in 12 games after signing with Pittsburgh on Oct. 20, following a season-ending hamstring injury to safety Mike Logan. Carter made seven tackles.
