The Patriots edge out Jets in OT

The Patriots won their thrid straight in a nail biting game. In overtime, the Patriots were led by Martin, who rushed sevenm times for 49 yards on the final drive of the game, leading the Patriots to the 17 yard-line.

The Jets had a chance to win the game at the end of regulation, but defensive end Mike Jones blocked a 29-yard field goal attempt by John Hall with 16 seconds left in the game.
Curtis Martin rushed for 199 yards and averaged 5 yards per carry.
Chris Slade recorded three sacks, five tackles and one forced fumble.
In the final drive Martin rushed for 49 yards and brought the Patriots to the 17 yard-line when Vinatieri kicked the field goal.
The score was 27-24 in favor of the Patriots.
