ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (Feb. 21, 2006) -- Matt Sheldon was hired by the Buffalo Bills as the team's linebackers coach.

Sheldon spent the past five seasons as an assistant with the St. Louis Rams, focusing mostly on defense and special teams.

Sheldon rounds out the Bills staff under head coach Dick Jauron, who took over last month following Mike Mularkey's resignation.

The Bills also formally announced hiring DeMontie Cross as a defensive/special teams assistant. Cross, who had accepted the job last week, spent the past five years coaching outside linebackers at Iowa State.
