Controlling Dolphins defense will be a key

New England would like to get back on the winning track quickly after a tough loss to Kansas City last Sunday. It won't be an easy task, as the Patriots will go up against the strong defense of Miami this week.

"They have a very, very difficult defense," Head Coach Pete Carroll said. "They have a style that really distinguishes them. They're probably the best defense we'll play."

The Dolphins defensive statistics would seem to back up Carroll's statement. Led by superb linebacker Zach Thomas, Miami has allowed less than 80 rushing yards and just 200 passing yards per game. Opposing teams have yet to score a rushing touchdown this year.

"Everybody will be trying to block Zach," Carroll said. "Our guards on their tackles will also be huge."
