Dolphins re-sign safety Bell

Safety Yeremiah Bell signed a one-year, $1.3 million tender to remain with the Miami Dolphins. Bell had been a restricted free agent.

MIAMI (May 21, 2007) -- Safety Yeremiah Bell signed a one-year, $1.3 million tender to remain with the Miami Dolphins.

Bell had been a restricted free agent. The former walk-on at Eastern Kentucky gave the Dolphins' defense a boost when he became a starter at midseason, and he totaled 65 tackles with a team-high 12 passes defended.

"We were hoping to get a multiyear deal," said Bell's agent, Drew Rosenhaus. "We're going to continue to negotiate with the Dolphins. But we weren't close enough, so it made sense to sign the tender."
