EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (June 22, 2006) -- After failing four times to make the New York Jets, running back Little John Flowers was signed by the Giants.

Flowers played this past spring in Europe with the Berlin Thunder, running for 283 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught 10 passes for 112 yards and another score.

Flowers spent the 2002 season on the Jets' practice squad, and had two stints on the same squad the following year. Named for the character from Robin Hood, Flowers was also in the Jets' training camp the past two seasons.
