Panthers 20, Patriots 17Curtis Martin ran for a three-yard TD and a two-yard TD in the fourth quarter to pull the Patriots even with the Panthers, but John Kasay's 29-yard field goal in overtime gave Carolina the win in the inaugural meeting, which took place in Foxboro. QB Kerry Collins (309 yards, 2 TDs) and RB Derrick Moore (28 carries, 119 yards) paced the Panthers' offense.
