EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (May 17, 2005) -- Minnesota Vikings running back Onterrio Smith missed the second day of developmental camp on May 17 for "personal reasons," a team spokesman said.

Smith attended the first day of the voluntary camp on May 16, but did not speak to reporters.

Vikings coach Mike Tice did not make himself available for comment after the May 17 practice, appointing defensive coordinator Ted Cottrell as spokesman for the day. Cottrell said Smith was gone for "personal reasons" and would not elaborate.
