CAREER TRANSACTIONS
Javon Baker was drafted by the New England Patriots in the fourth round (110th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft.
SEASONAL REVIEWS
2024 (11/1)
- Played in 11 games with one start, seeing limited action as a reserve receiver, kickoff returner and special teams player and finished with 1 reception for 12 yards and 3 kickoff returns for 79 yards.
- Made his NFL debut on the kickoff return team on the opening kickoff vs. Seattle (9/15). Entered the game for his first offensive snaps at wide receiver in the third quarter.
- Registered his first-career kickoff return with a 17-yard return in the first quarter after being utilized as a kickoff returner for the first time vs. the New York Jets (10/27).
- Returned the opening kickoff 46 yards vs. the L.A. Rams (11/17), setting up a 10-yard touchdown reception for WR Kendrick Bourne in the first quarter.
- Made his first career start at Miami (11/24).
- Recorded his first NFL catch on a 12-yard reception from QB Joe Milton III in the third quarter vs. Buffalo (1/5).
COLLEGE
- As a senior in 2023, he was named First-Team All-Big 12 as he led the Big 12 Conference in receiving yards with 1,139, which ranked 16th in the NCAA. Had 5 receptions for 134 yards vs. Oklahoma, including an 86-yard reception (fourth-longest in UCF history) and a 12-yard touchdown.
- Announced decision to transfer to Central Florida from Alabama in June 2022 and appeared in 14 games, starting 13. Was the Second-leading receiver with 56 catches for team-high 796 yards (ninth in AAC) with 5 touchdowns.
- Recorded 7 catches for 101 yards and a touchdown in 12 games in 2021 at Alabama and also saw extensive time on special teams. Played in the 2021 College Football Playoff games vs. Cincinnati and Georgia.
- As a freshman at Alabama in 2020, saw playing time in final nine games of first season at Alabama following injury to standout Jaylen Waddle.
PERSONAL
Majored in integrative general studies in UCF's College of Undergraduate Studies.
Coming out of McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, he was one of the top-ranked wide receiver prospects in the 2019 class as four-star prospect by all major outlets.
Selected to participate in the All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas.
