TreVeyon Henderson was drafted by the New England Patriots in the second round (38th overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft.

SEASONAL REVIEWS

2025 (16/4, 3/0)

  • Serves as a rotational running back and as a kick returner.
  • Made his NFL debut vs. Las Vegas (9/7).
  • Became the first Patriots rookie running back to record 6 receptions in a season opener vs. Las Vegas (9/7). Tony Collins (9/6/81) and Sam Cunningham (9/16/73) both recorded 3 on opening day.
  • Scored his first-career touchdown on a 5-yard run in the second quarter vs. Carolina (9/28) to culminate an 8-play, 55-yard drive.
  • Registered a career high in rushing yards vs. Cleveland (10/26) after finishing with 77 yards on 10 attempts for a 7.7-yard rushing average. Also had a career-long run with a 27-yard run in the third quarter on a drive that ended in a 7-yard touchdown pass from QB Drake Maye to TE Hunter Henry. Also handled kickoff return duties, logging 2 returns for 55 yards with a long of 28 yards in the first quarter.
  • Produced a career-high 87 yards from scrimmage and a career-long 19-yard rush in his first-career start vs. Atlanta (11/2). He logged 14 rushes for 55 yards (3.9 avg.) and 4 receptions for 32 yards (8.0 avg.).
  • Scored on a 55-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and a career long 69-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter at Tampa Bay (11/9). He is the first Patriots player to have two 50-yard touchdown runs in the same game. His 69-yard run is the longest run for the Patriots since RB Sedrick Shaw had a 71-yard run at the N.Y. Jets (12/27/98) and longest touchdown run since RB Curtis Martin had a 70-yard touchdown run vs. Chicago on Sept. 21, 1997. It is the longest run of the 2025 season, besting the 28-yard run by QB Drake Maye vs. Cleveland (10/26). His previous long was a the 55-yard run in the third quarter. Laurence Maroney is the only other Patriots player with two 50-yard runs in the same game since 1978, when he had a 59-yard touchdown run and a 51-yard run vs. Miami on Dec. 23, 2007. The last NFL player with two 50-yard rushing touchdowns in the same game was Jonathan Taylor in 2024. Had his first career 100-yard game, finishing with 147 yards on 14 carries.
  • Scored three total touchdowns with 2 rushing touchdowns and 1 receiving touchdown vs. the N.Y. Jets (11/13). The only other Patriots rookie to account for three touchdowns in a game was TE Rob Gronkowski when he had 3 receiving touchdowns at Pittsburgh on Nov. 14, 2010. Henderson is the first Patriots player with 3 total touchdowns in a game since RB Damien Harris had 3 rushing touchdowns vs. Buffalo on Dec. 26, 2021. Henderson is the fourth player in franchise history to record 2 rushing touchdowns and 1 receiving touchdowns in a single game, joining RB Rex Burkhead (vs. Las Vegas - 9/27/20), Sam Cunningham (at Buffalo - 11/23/75) and Billy Lott (at Oakland - 12/9/61). It was also his second-consecutive game with 2 rushing touchdowns, becoming the first Patriots rookie since RB Curtis Martin in 1995 when he had a streak of three games with two rushing touchdowns and then later in the year back-to-back games with 2 rushing touchdowns. He is the first Patriots running back with at least 2 touchdowns in back-to-back weeks since RB Damien Harris had 3 rushing touchdowns vs. Buffalo on Dec. 26, 2021, followed by 2 rushing touchdowns vs. Jacksonville on Jan. 2, 2022. His receiving touchdown was the first of his career, coming on a 6-yard pass from QB Drake Maye in the third quarter.
  • Produced 14 carries for a career-high 148 yards (10.6 avg.) and 2 touchdowns to go along with 2 receptions for 13 yards (6.5 avg.) and 163 total yards vs. Buffalo (12/14). It was his second-career 100-yard rushing game. He scored on a 52-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and a 65-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter, becoming the first Patriots player with two 50-yard touchdowns in the same game multiple times in a season, after he also did so at Tampa Bay (11/9) when he scored on a 55-yard touchdown run and a 69-yard touchdown run. He is only the second player in NFL history to to do so in a single season, joining RB Chris Johnson in 2009 with Tennessee. He set a team record for 50-yard touchdowns in a season with four, tying RB Saquon Barkley (2018 with the N.Y. Giants) and RB Lenny Moore (1956 with Baltimore) for the most such touchdown runs in a season by a rookie and tying for the third-most in a season in among all players in NFL history behind Chris Johnson (2009 with Tennessee) and Jim Brown (1963 with Cleveland), who had five. He also became the first Patriots player with four 50-yard runs since 1970. Henderson has two of the team's eight games with a rusher finishing with an average of at least 10.0 yards per carry, and the only one to have two games with a 10.0-yard average in the same season after his game at Tampa Bay on Nov. 9. The only other Patriots player with two games with a 10.0-yard average in their career with the team was Larry Garron (1961 and 1962). with his two rushing touchdowns, he also moved past RB Rhamondre Stevenson (two) for the second-most games with 2 rushing touchdowns by a rookie in franchise history with three, sitting only behind RB Curtis Martin with five.

  • Played in 16 games with nine starts and finished with 144 carries for 1,016 yards and 10 touchdowns. Added 27 catches for 284 yards and 1 touchdown.
  • Teamed with first-year transfer RB Quinshon Judkins to give Ohio State a dynamic, physical backfield combo that combined for 2,076 yards rushing and 24 touchdowns, and 49 receptions for 445 yards and an additional 3 receiving touchdowns.
  • Finished the year with a career-best 7.1 yards per carry (16th nationally).
  • Had 8 kick returns for 67 yards with a long of 19 yards.
  • Had 29-yard and 24-yard touchdown runs and an 8.0 yards per carry average vs. Tennessee in the College Football Playoff opening round.
  • Scored 2 more touchdowns, including a Rose Bowl-record 66-yard touchdown run, and had an 11.8 yards per carry average in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals vs. Oregon.

Junior Year (2023)

  • Returned in 2023 after an injury-marred 2022 campaign to play in in 10 games with 10 starts and rush for 926 yards and 11 touchdowns. Caught 19 passes for 229 yards.
  • Earn First-Team All-Big Ten Conference honors by both the coaches and the voting media.
  • Had three consecutive 100-yard rushing games in 2023, and four total on the season: 104 vs Notre Dame; 162 vs. Wisconsin; 128 vs. Rutgers; 146 vs. Minnesota.
  • Scored touchdowns in eight consecutive games for the second time in his career, including a huge, 61-yard second half touchdown run in the 17-14 win over Notre Dame.

Sophomore Year (2022):

  • Despite injuries, played in eight games with eight starts and was second on the team in rushing with 571 yards and 6 rushing touchdowns. Added 4 receptions for 28 yards and 1 touchdown.
  • Named honorable mention All-Big Ten Conference.
  • Had two 100-yard rushing games - 121 vs. Wisconsin and 118 vs. Michigan State.
  • In the win over Penn State, had 87 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns covering 41 and 7 yards.

Freshman Year (2021):

  • Played in 13 games with 11 starts and rushed for the second-most yards by a freshman in Ohio State history with 183 carries for 1,248 yards and 15 touchdowns. Added 27 catches for 312 yards and 4 touchdowns.
  • Set an Ohio State freshman record with 19 touchdowns scored (15 rushing and 4 receiving).
  • Scored touchdowns in his first eight games as a Buckeye.
