The New England Patriots are represented across six major award categories as finalists for the 2025 Associated Press NFL Awards, a reflection of the impact made by individuals across every level of the organization during the season.
There are five finalists in each AP award category and winners will be announced at NFL Honors presented by Invisalign on Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. NFL Honors will air at 9 p.m. ET on NBC and NFL Network, with streaming available on Peacock and NFL+.
Below is a closer look at each Patriots finalist.

AP Most Valuable Player presented by Invisalign
Drake Maye, QB
Maye's inclusion among the league's most valuable players underscores one of the most impactful individual seasons by a quarterback in Patriots history, which is saying a lot. In his first full season as the team's full-time starter, Maye elevated the entire offense with consistent production, poise in critical moments, and weekly growth as both a passer and decision-maker. Maye led the NFL and set a Patriots franchise record with a 72 percent completion rate.

AP Coach of the Year
Mike Vrabel
In his first season as head coach in New England, Vrabel guided the Patriots through a significant transition, setting a foundation built on effort and finish. Vrabel led the Patriots to a 14-3 record, including a 10-game win streak, and the team's first AFC East title since the 2019 season.

AP Assistant Coach of the Year
Josh McDaniels, Offensive Coordinator
McDaniels' return to New England brought creativity and experience to an evolving offense led by a second-year quarterback. Under his direction, Drake Maye showed tangible growth in numerous areas throughout the season, including decision-making, downfield accuracy and ball security.
McDaniels' game planning and in-game adjustments played a major role in Maye's development while also maximizing personnel across skill positions.

AP Comeback Player of the Year
Stefon Diggs, WR
Diggs' 2025 season marked a return to form after a year with the Texans shortened by injury. He returned to the field this summer after offseason ACL surgery and quickly re-established himself as one of the NFL's most reliable and productive receivers, serving as a focal point in the Patriots passing attack and a critical outlet for Maye in big moments.
Diggs had 85 catches for 1,013 yards, the seventh 1,000-yard season of his career.

AP Offensive Player of the Year presented by Microsoft Copilot
Drake Maye, QB
Maye's selection as a finalist for Offensive Player of the Year further highlights the scope of his impact. The award focuses strictly on offensive performance, and Maye's week-to-week production placed him among the most prolific offensive players in the league.
His dual-threat ability, command of the offense, and role in leading the team to the second-most points in the league positioned him as one of the defining offensive players of the 2025 season.

AP Offensive Rookie of the Year presented by EA SPORTS Madden NFL
TreVeyon Henderson, RB
Henderson delivered one of the most explosive rookie seasons in the NFL, quickly becoming a game-changer for the Patriots run game and a dynamic weapon in space. His combination of vision, burst, and versatility translated immediately at the NFL level.
Whether as a runner or receiver, Henderson's ability stood out among a strong rookie class. He had nine touchdowns to go with 911 rushing yards and a 5.1 yards-per-attempt.
