April 5 Lacrosse Classic comes to Gillette

History will be made Saturday, April 5 when the first-ever lacrosse games at Gillette Stadium begin with a 12 p.m. faceoff between Cornell and Harvard.

Foxborough, Mass. - History will be made Saturday, April 5 when the first-ever lacrosse games at Gillette Stadium begin with a 12 p.m. faceoff between Cornell and Harvard. The inaugural New England Lacrosse Classic at Gillette Stadium also features a matchup between Merrimack and Bryant at 3 p.m.

General admission tickets for the event are $13 at the Gillette Stadium ticket office and parking is free. Parking lots open at 10 a.m. and stadium gates open at 11 a.m. CN8 will broadcast the Cornell-Harvard game beginning at 12 p.m.

The New England Lacrosse Classic will be played in advance of the 2008 NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships at Gillette Stadium May 24-26. More information is available at www.lax2008.com.

The NCAA recently announced that the 2009 NCAA championships will also be played at Gillette Stadium and hosted by Harvard, the Massachusetts Sports Partnership and the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau.
