Bengals re-sign free agent RB Watson

The Cincinnati Bengals re-signed running back Kenny Watson to a one-year contract.

CINCINNATI (April 12, 2005) -- The Cincinnati Bengals re-signed running back Kenny Watson to a one-year contract.

Watson, a restricted free agent, will be in his third year with the Bengals. He signed with Washington as a rookie free agent in 2001 and played in every game in 2002 but was waived before the start of the 2003 season.

Watson primarily is used in third-down situations and on special teams. He rushed for 141 yards on 23 carries and caught 24 passes for 162 yards last season.

Terms of Watson's contract were not disclosed.
