Dolphins guard Anderson has triceps surgery

Miami Dolphins guard Bennie Anderson had surgery to repair a torn left triceps tendon and is expected to miss the rest of the season.

MIAMI (Sept. 19, 2006) -- Miami Dolphins guard Bennie Anderson had surgery to repair a torn left triceps tendon and is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Anderson suffered the injury in Miami's 16-6 loss to Buffalo on Sept. 17.

He's the fourth right guard hurt this season for Miami. Seth McKinney (neck surgery) and Joe Toledo (sprained knee ligament) are on injured reserve, while Joe Berger will miss his third consecutive game with a sprained foot, but could return to practice next week.

Kendyl Jacox is expected to start at right guard Sept. 24 when Miami plays host to Tennessee.
