Dolphins sign LB Spragan to two-year deal

Linebacker Donnie Spragan signed a two-year deal with the Miami Dolphins, his agent said.

MIAMI (March 9, 2005) -- Linebacker Donnie Spragan signed a two-year deal with the Miami Dolphins, his agent said.

The 28-year-old Spragan played strongside linebacker for Denver last season. He will look to replace Morlon Greenwood, who signed with the Houston Texans last week.

"He's got an opportunity to come in and compete for a starting spot with a new regime," his agent, Angelo Wright said.

The Dolphins other outside linebacker spot is also unsettled, with Junior Seau coming of a season-ending injury (torn pectoral muscle).

A three-year NFL veteran, Spragan made a career-high 67 tackles in 14 starts last season with Denver.
