Dolphins' Taylor, Mare questionable

Defensive end Jason Taylor and kicker Olindo Mare were among seven Miami Dolphins regulars listed as questionable for their Week 8 game against New Orleans.

DAVIE, Fla. (Oct. 26, 2005) -- Defensive end Jason Taylor and kicker Olindo Mare were among seven Miami Dolphins regulars listed as questionable for their Week 8 game against New Orleans.

Also on the list were receiver Marty Booker (ankle), defensive end Kevin Carter (knee), cornerback Sam Madison (hip), safety Lance Schulters (quad) and linebacker Junior Seau (calf).

Carter, Madison, Seau and Taylor (foot) missed practice Oct. 26.

"They were all on the field," coach Nick Saban said. "They all did some things, but they didn't participate in team (drills)."

The Dolphins signed kicker Jeff Chandler to the practice squad as a possible replacement for Mare, who hurt his knee last week trying to make a tackle.

"It's just insurance," Saban said. "We had to make a decision before we knew how Olindo was going to be. He is not 100 percent, but we are hoping by the end of the week he will be."
