ATLANTA (June 10, 2005) -- The Atlanta Falcons confirmed Friday that vice president of player personnel Ron Hill was fired this week.
Team spokesman Reggie Roberts said Hill was let go and that the team would have no comment on the factors leading to the firing.
As vice president of football operations under former coach Dan Reeves, Hill shared personnel responsibilities with Reeves and coordinated the team's draft from 2001-03, including the acquisition of quarterback Michael Vick.
Hill's title and duties changed as he assumed a lesser role in the Falcons' administration under president and general manager Rich McKay and coach Jim Mora. Hill retained the pro personnel duties under McKay but no longer made draft decisions.
