EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (March 11, 2005) -- The New York Giants added depth to their defensive line by signing former Pittsburgh Steelers tackle Kendrick Clancy.
Financial details were not disclosed.
A five-year veteran, Clancy was released by the Steelers last September but was re-signed Oct. 20 after nose tackle Casey Hampton sustained a season-ending knee injury. Overall, Clancy played in eight regular-season and two postseason games, recording six tackles in limited action.
Clancy will be reunited with Giants defensive coordinator Tim Lewis, who coached him during his first four years in Pittsburgh.
