Gillette Stadium to host 26th Annual RACERAMA

After 25 years in Springfield, Mass., Racearama, a Northeast tradition, is moving to the home of the three-time Super Bowl Champs.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - After 25 years in Springfield, Mass., the 26th Annual RACEARAMA-N-Tradeshow moves to the Dana-Farber Field House at Gillette Stadium from Friday, March 3 through Sunday, March 5. New England's largest racing showcase and tradeshow will feature autograph sessions with drivers from the NASCAR Busch East Series, Grand National Division and Whelen Modified Tour, a showcase of racing collectibles and parts dealers, and a variety of track exhibits featuring local racers and their machines. The event precedes the official pre-season opening of the racing season in New England.

Busch East Series drivers already committed to attend include 2001 Champion Mike Olsen, 2004 Rookie-of-the-Year Ryan Seaman and eight-time NASCAR Champion and 2005 runner-up Mike Stefanik. Whelen Modified Tour drivers that have committed include 2005 Champion Tony Hirschman, runner-up Ted Christopher and Eric Beers.

Over 75 collectibles dealers will be on hand to offer race fans the latest on the collectible scene, including limited production diecasts, t-shirts, hats, uniform jackets and trading cards. RACEARAMA-N-Trade Show will also host parts and accessories dealers representing all facets of the high performance market who will be on hand to answer questions and offer parts ranging from drivers' seats and racecar bodies to race fuel.

Fans can obtain schedules, meet drivers and ask questions at any one of the many racetrack exhibits on site, including New Hampshire International Speedway, Stafford Motor Speedway, Seekonk Speedway, Waterford Speedbowl, Star Speedway, Hudson Speedway, Twin State Speedway and Bear Ridge Speedway.

Touring divisions represented will be NASCAR, PASS, ISMA, ACT, NEAR, True Value Modified Series, Pro-Four, the Senior Tour, the New England Region Sports Car Club and the Granite State Mini Sprint Racing Club.

Weekend Thunder (a radio show that can be heard locally on 1510 AM the Zone) will be broadcast live from RACEARAMA-N-Trade Show on Sunday at 11:00 am.

Patrons are encouraged to attend throughout the weekend. Admission is $15.00, with children 10 and under admitted free. Parking at Gillette Stadium is also free.
