Job Title: Technical Webmaster

A unique opportunity exists with our website development company to combine your love of the New England Patriots with your impressive programming and technical skills.

We require a team player to become fill the full time position of Technical Webmaster

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day maintenance of existing SPS client sites and new SPS2000 clients. Will be the webmaster responsible for the technical aspects of patriots.com, and will report to the Department Manager and Technical Project Managers

Qualifications:

Essential:
Science / Computing Degree, or Relevant commercial experience

Work Based Skills / Competencies:

Essential:
Will have a strong working knowledge of JavaScript, Java Server Pages, and will have used Transact SQL based databases e.g.: MS SQL 7.0, SQL 2000 or Oracle 8i.
Will use and maintain the logging and reporting for site statistics, and will work in conjunction with the Network Operations Center for ongoing technical coverage. Will have strong HTML skills, and dabbled in DHTL. Will be responsible for the technical maintenance, new sections and support of the Sports Publishing System for Athletes Sites. Candidate will learn about Site Caching, Load Balancing and Networking as well as have a suitable career upgrade path. Working knowledge of Flash a bonus.

Additional:

Essential:
Must be prepared to relocate to Boston.

Desirable:
A strong interest in sport and its development through technology, as well as an eagerness to learn the latest technologies and coding practices. Must be able to work with a team of designers, html experts etc for certain new sections etc.
