Kitchens completes Cowboys staff as TE coach

IRVING, Texas (Feb. 16, 2006) -- Former Alabama quarterback Freddie Kitchens was hired as Cowboys tight ends coach, completing Bill Parcells' staff.

Kitchens spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach at Mississippi State after three seasons with North Texas. He began his coaching career as an assistant at Glenville State College in West Virginia in 1999, then was on Nick Saban's staff at LSU in 2000.

Kitchens, a three-year starter at Alabama (1995-97), is the third new member of Parcells' staff. The other newcomers are quarterbacks coach Chris Palmer and inside linebackers coach Vincent Brown.
