Lions re-sign safety Holt

The Detroit Lions re-signed safety Terrence Holt to a one-year contract. Holt has played with the Lions for the past three years and began last season as Detroit's starting free safety.

ALLEN PARK, Mich. (April 13, 2006) -- The Detroit Lions re-signed safety Terrence Holt to a one-year contract.

Holt has played with the Lions for the past three years and began last season as Detroit's starting free safety. He started 10 games before he was placed on injured reserve Dec. 7 with an elbow injury.

Holt finished the 2005 season with a career-high 44 tackles, two interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
