Tom E. Curran takes an in-depth look at where things stand between the Patriots and Tom Brady at the moment with negotiations expected to start in the next week or so, if not at next week's scouting combine. Curran says not to expect a Brady free agency tour and reiterates it's less about money and more about the addition of weaponry.

One line that stuck out from Curran? His closing one. "Finally, if Brady goes to another team? The people he'll leave behind in Foxboro will be highly, highly motivated to have a 2020 season that will make Brady wonder if he made the right decision."

Rich Cimini of ESPN can't wait to start handing out retirement gifts to Tom Brady from the other 31 teams. He might've wanted to hang on to this one for a couple years. Fellow ESPN writer Bill Barnwell jumps in on free agency and has five moves the Patriots should make like re-signing Tom Brady and Devin McCourty, making tight end a priority, keeping one linebacker and rebuilding the special teams.

Greg Bedard of Boston Sports Journal lays out how he thinks it should go for the Patriots and Brady when it comes to negotiations. Meanwhile Larry Fitzgerald Sr. reported on Friday that the Raiders were preparing to make a sizable offer to Brady.

Bernd Buchmasser of PatsPulpit takes a closer look at the Patriots drops this season and how they affected the output of Brady's weaponry.

Pro Football Focus lays out their plan to get the Patriots offense back to a high level using trades, signings and the draft to bring in some high-level weapons. Diggs, Beckham, Henry and Aiyuk are the prominent names.
