Football fans have a unique opportunity to tee it up with legends of the game while helping out a charitable cause through a golf event being held by Old Pro Sports at the Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln, R.I. on Monday, July 22nd.

There are four levels of sponsorship that offer varying packages and chances to spend time with many of the all-time greats in football history. The top package, the First Down Sponsorship ($5,000) offers a sponsor and two guests the chance to play 18 holes with a legend. In addition, you get three invitations to a V.I.P. event the day before the golf outing for the chance to take photographs, get autographs and meet all the participants of the event.

That's not all. Following the golf outing, the First Down Sponsorship also includes dinner with the legends for the sponsor and six more guests, plus much more. During the dinner, a special presentation by Old Pro Sports will be hosted by NFL Films archive director Ace Cacchiotti. There will also be raffling and auctioning of priceless memorabilia.

Other sponsorships with fewer features are available. For the Second Down Package ($1,700), a foursome can play the course (no legend) and get admission, along with six other guests, to the post-golf dinner. The Third Down Package ($1,300) gets admission for 10 to the dinner.

Individuals can also sponsor an amount of $250 for the golf and dinner. This option is open to the first 72 golfers and can be reserved by calling (401) 788-4229. Those interested in attending just the dinner can give a $150 donation, but spaces are limited.

With the help of the NFLPA and the Amateur Athletic Union of New England, the objective of Old Pro Sports is to create a network of special events to produce revenue for the Retired Players Trust Fund. It will also assist former legends with their life after football and young athletes to achieve higher education.

All legend pairings for the golf event will be determined by a first received donation, first choice basis. Only the first 15-20 corporate sponsorships will be accepted.
