Patriots Place Gene Mruczkowski on Injured Reserve

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Patriots signed wide receiver Jamin Elliott to the practice squad today. The team also announced that rookie offensive lineman Gene Mruczkowski was placed on the Reserve/Injured list.

Mruczkowski, 23, was signed by the Patriots as a rookie free agent on May 16, 2003. The 6-foot-2-inch, 299-pound offensive lineman suffered a leg injury prior to New England's 2003 training camp and was placed on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list on Aug. 26, 2003. Mruczkowski becomes the seventh Patriots player to be placed on the Reserve/Injured list this season. The Purdue product was a four-year starter for the Boilermakers and a three-time academic All-Big 10 selection.
