New England players will report to Foxboro Wednesday morning, just a little more than two months after the 1999 season ended.

Players have a team meeting Wednesday in preparation for the team's offseason conditioning program. The meeting is not mandatory, but full attendance is expected.

Several players from last year's squad may not be expected at the meeting as a result of their undecided contract status. Cornerback Steve Israel, linebacker Tedy Bruschi, defensive end Ferric Collons, linebacker Jeff Kopp and defensive tackle Bob Kuberski are the remaining unrestricted free agents who have yet to sign with any team.

The conditioning program for the team officially starts on Monday, March 20.
