FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (Dec. 13, 2005) -- The New England Patriots released running back Mike Cloud for the second time this season and signed offensive lineman Ross Tucker.

They also released guard Ryan Krug from the practice squad.

Cloud originally signed Nov. 4 when running backs Kevin Faulk and Patrick Pass were sidelined, then was released Nov. 29. He didn't miss a game before being re-signed Dec. 2. In six games, he rushed 23 times for 59 yards.

Tucker had been a free agent since being released by Buffalo on the final preseason cut last Sept. 4. Washington signed him as an undrafted free agent before the 2001 season and he also played for Dallas in 2002 before joining the Bills.

Krug, who played at Connecticut last season, was originally signed by the Patriots as an undrafted free agent last April 29.
