Safety Reese returns to Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys reunited with safety Izell Reese, signing their former draft pick to a one-year deal. Reese was a sixth-round pick by the Cowboys in 1998 and started 15 games in four seasons with the team.

IRVING, Texas (June 3, 2005) -- The Dallas Cowboys reunited with safety Izell Reese, signing their former draft pick to a one-year deal.

Reese was a sixth-round pick by the Cowboys in 1998 and started 15 games in four seasons with the team. He started 18 games for Buffalo the past two seasons after starting 15 games for Denver in 2002.

The signing came on the same day the Cowboys released tackle Harvey Dahl, fullback Jonathan Evans, tight end Duncan Reid, guard Marlon Tickles and safeties Clint Finley and Dominique Price.
