Saints agree to terms with draft pick Colston

The New Orleans Saints agreed to a three-year contract with seventh-round pick Marques Colston. Colston was a three-year starter at tight end at Hofstra, but will move to receiver for the Saints.

NEW ORLEANS (July 14, 2006) -- The New Orleans Saints agreed to a three-year contract with seventh-round pick Marques Colston.

Colston was a three-year starter at tight end at Hofstra, but will move to receiver for the Saints. He finished his collegiate career as the school's all-time leader in yards receiving with 2,834. He also had 182 catches and 22 touchdowns.

Last season, Colston was an All-Atlantic 10 first-team selection with a career-high 70 receptions for 975 yards and nine touchdowns.
