Saints agree to terms with sixth-round pick

The New Orleans Saints have agreed to terms on a three-year contract with defensive tackle Jason Jefferson, their sixth-round draft pick. Jefferson, who played at Wisconsin, is the first Saints 2005 draft choice to agree to terms.

NEW ORLEANS (July 14, 2004) -- The New Orleans Saints have agreed to terms on a three-year contract with defensive tackle Jason Jefferson, their sixth-round draft pick.

Jefferson, who played at Wisconsin, is the first Saints 2005 draft choice to agree to terms. The 6-foot-1, 305 pounder was a three-year starter for the Badgers. He had 100 tackles (44 solo), five sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 41 games.
